Caramelized bacon with pecans
- In a bowl, combine crumbled bacon, pecans, and maple syrup.
- Mix together until bacon is covered with pecans and maple syrup.
- Spread bacon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Let cool.
Burgers
- Preheat barbecue to medium-high and oil grill.
- Shape ground beef into 4 equal patties.
- Place patties on the grill and barbecue for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
- Toast buns about one minute before beef patties are ready.
- Put it all together adding a patty, cheese, caramelized bacon, mayonnaise, and lettuce between two toasted buns.
- Serve with homemade fries, seasoned mayo, a chef salad, and a cold beer.
