Ingredients

180 mL (¾ cup) pearl barley

2 L (8 cups) fish stock

250 mL (1 cup) potatoes, diced

250 mL (1 cup) red bell pepper, diced

250 mL (1 cup) snow peas, diagonally sliced

125 mL (½ cup) leeks, thinly sliced

10 mL (2 tsp.) salted herbs

750 g (1½ lb.) your choice of seafood (Northern shrimp, fresh mussels, fresh clams, fresh scallops size 20/30)

garnish, fresh chives chopped

To taste, pepper

Directions
- Bring fish stock to a boil in a saucepan.
- Add barley, vegetables and salted herbs. Let simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
- Add seafood 10 minutes before end of cooking.
- Pepper to taste. When ready to serve, garnish with fresh chives.
