Ingredients

Orange

675 mL (2¾ cups) orange juice
325 mL (1⅓ cups) water
2.5 mL (½ tsp.) salt

Apple

560 mL (2¼ cups) apple juice
1 ¾ cups (425 ml) water
2.5 mL (½ tsp.) salt

Directions

Mix together all ingredients in a 1-litre bottle.

Chef’s secret

Be aware that not all juices have the same carbohydrate concentration, so they're not all interchangeable.

Nutrition tip

For sport activities lasting over an hour or practiced in extreme heat, a sport drink is recommended so you get the required amount of carbohydrates during the activity and stay adequately hydrated.
