Ingredients

500 g (1 lb.) medium ground beef

250 mL (1 cup) cheese curds, coarsely chopped

60 mL (¼ cup) Barbecue Sauce

1 egg
-
5 mL (1 tsp.) steak spices

15 mL (1 tbsp.) olive oil

4 brioche buns
-
To taste, spicy mayo

1 tomato, sliced
-
4 lettuce leaves
-
1 package of Spring mix salad

Directions

Barbecue directions: Preheat the barbecue to medium-high. Oil the grill.

Mix together the ground beef, cheese curds, barbecue sauce, egg, and spices in a bowl. Shape into 4 patties.

Oven directions: In a large, oiled skillet set over medium heat, cook patties for 4–5 minutes on each side. Barbecue directions: Grill patties on barbecue about 15 minutes, turning at the halfway point, or until meat is no longer pink and internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).

Spread spicy mayonnaise on the inside of the buns. Place lettuce and beef patties on the bottom buns. Add tomato slices and close the buns. Serve with salad.
