Our grocers love local
At IGA, our grocers are at the heart of communities and have a deep knowledge of their local market. They are encouraged to highlight Quebec harvests and products, and to have local and hyper-local products in their stores, to promote the terroir and know-how of their region.

Claims for fruits and vegetables, fresh meat, dairy products, fresh pork and cooked chickens: IGA always favours purchasing in Quebec before purchasing products from outside the province, unless there is a force majeure. All shell eggs, except for quail eggs, sold at IGA come from Quebec. Fresh Quebec Pork: Applies exclusively to fresh cuts of pork and is subject to product availability from our Quebec suppliers. Processed pork products (includes cooked, salted, smoked, frozen or other) may come from outside of Quebec. Quebec Cheeses: The assortment may vary from one store to another and according to the season. During their respective seasons, IGA gives priority to crab, halibut, northern shrimp and tuna from Quebec.
