- On a work surface, peel the banana and cut into slices ¼ inch (5 mm) thick.
- In a bowl, combine the sugar, spices and salt. Add the banana slices and toss to coat well.
- Spread the banana slices out in the basket of an air fryer. Cook for 30 minutes at 300°F (150°C), turning them over halfway through, until golden and crispy. Let cool completely.
Chef’s tip
For best results, use a banana that is not too ripe nor too green. Select a banana that is just starting to turn yellow but still has some green spots. The banana flesh needs to be firm in order for it to crisp up in the air fryer.
