- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Remove the turkey from the bag and place it in a covered or foil-lined roasting pan.
- For a 3 to 5 kg turkey, cook for 4 to 5 hours. For a 5 to 7 kg turkey, cook between 5.5 and 6.5 hours. The turkey is done when a thermometer inserted into the thigh, without touching the bone, reads 80°C (176°F). Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
- In a large bowl, combine all the cut vegetables, oil, butter, maple syrup, pepper and basil.
- Place everything on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
